Our communities are faceing deeply rooted challenges that temporary fixes simply cannot solve; families need more than a moment of aid—they need a lifetime of support. Redemption Missions was born out of this urgent necessity to establish systematic, long-term partnerships that walk alongside individuals through every step of their personal journeys. By committing to deep, enduring relationships, we ensure that true transformation takes root and flourishes over time.
Hands and Feet of Jesus
What began as a God-given vision in the heart of our founder, Dr. Teo Cooper, quickly became a reality because of a courageous handful of believers. Driven by faith, these individuals stepped forward to serve as the literal hands and feet of Jesus, boldly partnering with Dr. Cooper to build this organization. Together, they united under a shared mission to empower, develop, and serve those who need it most.
The Birth of a Movement
What started with a dedicated few is now igniting into a powerful community movement. Redemption Missions is actively forming strategic partnerships with local philanthropists, businesses, and passionate individuals to launch programs that deliver real hope, healing, and restoration. By uniting our community's resources and hearts, we are proudly continuing the redemptive, life-changing mission of Jesus Christ.

The Founder’s Calling
Dr. Teo Cooper’s life testifies to the redeeming power of God and the transforming work of Jesus Christ. Born into a home marked by drug abuse, domestic violence, and parental mental illness, he was removed as an infant and fostered. Growing up, he faced significant instability, running away from home, and living in six different places within a single year.
Through the compassion and generosity of individuals and organizations, he pursued an education despite overwhelming odds. With determination and perseverance, Dr. Cooper graduated high school and went on to earn four college degrees in education.
He has served in faculty and senior higher education administrative roles at the University of The Bahamas and at universities in the United States. He attributes his success to encountering Jesus Christ at an early age and remain committed to his faith. Though early trauma surfaced at times in ways that did not always reflect his beliefs, his life today stands as living proof of Christ’s redeeming power.
This testimony fuels Dr. Cooper’s passion in founding Redemption Missions. His prayer is that God will use this organization to transform the lives of individuals, families, and communities, just as He transformed his own.
