Redeeming Hearts for Reclaiming Territory
In the heart of Freeport, Grand Bahama, something new is emerging. It is a direct response to a generation seeking to move past the constraints of religion, tradition, and denominations.
Redemption Church is a non-denominational movement affiliated with Redemption Missions. Our mission is to proclaim the message of the Kingdom of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind back to the Father, and of the nation to His purpose. What began as a small group Bible study, grew into a home fellowship, and now we are officially launching on September 13, 2026.
Why Redemption Church?
For many, “church” has felt disconnected from daily life. We are trading the performance of religion for the reality of relationship, built on three pillars:

The model Jesus gave us was one of radical, unconditional love. Our mission is simple: to love everyone—regardless of background, past experiences, or where you currently find yourself. Whether you are unchurched, dechurched, or searching for a community that prioritizes impact over machinery, there is a place for you here.

Meet Our Founding Pastor
Dr. Cooper’s ministry journey is one of deep dedication, beginning at the age of 12 and spanning the Bahamas and the United States. Throughout his service, he has held numerous leadership roles, including Youth Director, Assistant Director of Children's Ministry, Minister, and Youth Pastor. The hand of God on his life was evident from his youth, having served as President of his high school Christian Student Movement and Assistant Director of Evangelism for the Student Christian Movement in college.
As a profound Bible teacher, mentor, and motivational speaker, Dr. Cooper carries a heart for those navigating their own journeys. His story is a powerful testament to the grace of God; while his path was marked by adversity, hardship, and moments of struggle and inconsistency, he never gave up on God. His life stands as a living witness to the power of God to transform any situation, and any individual.
Beyond his ministry, Dr. Cooper is a dedicated educator. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of The Bahamas, as well as a Master’s, Educational Specialist, and Doctorate degrees in Education and Sciences from Florida International University. He currently serves as a member of the faculty at the University of The Bahamas.
Above all, he is a family man, married to the beautiful Mrs. Anjonique Cooper, and together they are proud parents to their two sons, Teo Jr. and Teondre.
