There is a profound shift happening in how we view our daily grind. For too many believers, Monday through Friday feels like a spiritual desert—a space where faith is neatly packed away until Sunday morning. But what if your workplace isn’t just a spot to earn a paycheck? What if it is actually your primary mission field?
Redemption Missions, an exciting new non-profit organization based right here in Freeport, Grand Bahama, is stepping up to bridge this gap. They are officially launching their inaugural initiative: The Journey Program.
This isn't just another professional development course. It is a cohort-based movement designed to empower professionals, leaders, managers, and employees alike to prioritize, advance, exemplify, and promote the Kingdom of God right where they work.
The Call to Be Bold Ambassadors
The foundation of The Journey Program rests on the powerful words of Matthew 5:13:
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”
As Christians, we are called to be bold ambassadors for Christ in our places of work. Being an ambassador means being equipped to naturally share and live out our faith with colleagues, clients, and every single person we encounter on a day-to-day basis.
The Journey Program is here to help us reframe our daily labor as a purpose-driven Kingdom assignment. When we recognize that we are stewards of a sacred trust in partnership with the Holy Spirit, the workplace transforms from a chore into a calling. It challenges us to foster ethical, purpose-driven decision-making rooted deeply in biblical principles.
What is The Journey Program?
Delivered through multiple cohorts running annually (with 3–4 cohorts per year), this structured 4-week experience focuses entirely on faith and work integration. The program is built on three core pillars:
Curriculum-Based Training: Over four weeks, weekly sessions will dive deep into crucial topics like purpose, stewardship, Christ-centered leadership, ethics, influence, and workplace ministry. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of participation.
Quarterly Networking & Empowerment Socials: Faith can sometimes feel isolated in the corporate world. These socials provide vital opportunities to connect with like-minded believers, hear inspiring testimonies from guest speakers, and build a culture of accountability and community.
Kingdom Workplace Application: Beyond theory, the program provides guided reflection and action planning to give you the practical tools needed to implement biblical principles directly into real-world workplace scenarios.
Additionally, Redemption Missions will host an Annual Conference—a dynamic one-day gathering featuring keynote speakers, practical workshops, and spiritual renewal to further develop participants and alumni.
Visionary Leadership: Our New Board of Directors
To bring this massive vision to life, Dr. Cooper has successfully enlisted a team of exemplary professionals to serve on the organization's Board of Directors.
These individuals are deeply passionate about this assignment. They are fully committed to collaborating to equip the Body of Christ and empower everyday believers to step into their professional environments and truly become the hands and feet of Jesus in the workplace. With their diverse expertise and shared spiritual focus, they are ready to help guide professionals into their true callings.
